OKLAHOMA CITY - The Blessed Stanley Rother Shrine will celebrate Blessed Stanley Rother's Feast Day on July 28, following a weekend of activities to honor the life and legacy of Blessed Stanley.
"We are thrilled to honor Blessed Stanley Rother with a weekend full of activities that reflect his spirit of community, faith and cultural appreciation,” said Miguel Mireles, executive director of the Blessed Stanley Rother Shrine. “This is a wonderful opportunity for us to come together and celebrate his enduring legacy."
The Schedule July 26: •9 a.m. – New Carmen Lind Pettersen Exhibit opens to the public A new exhibit featuring the works of Carmen Lind Pettersen, highlighting the rich cultural heritage and dress of the Mayan culture, opens to the public. •11 a.m. – Dr. Jim and Sue Bond - Blessed Stanley Rother Puppet Show The theatre room will bring to life a story of Blessed Stanley Rother for all ages. •4:30 p.m. – Marian Procession The procession, a time-honored tradition of devotion and prayer. •5 p.m. – Mass Followed by entertainment Celebrate Mass and then join in for an evening of live music, Guatemalan dance performances and yard games for the entire family.
July 27: •After 9 a.m. Mass – Book signing with Maria Scaperlanda and Sue Rother Bond Meet the authors and get copies of their inspiring books on Blessed Stanley signed.
