The Association of Fundraising Professionals Oklahoma Chapter announced on Aug. 4 that Christi Jeffreys has been nominated for the Outstanding Fundraising Professional Award for the second straight year, as part of the upcoming National Philanthropy Day celebrations in Oklahoma City.
Jeffreys serves as the director of development for the Blessed Stanley Rother Shrine. With more than 20 years of experience in philanthropy, Jeffreys has consistently demonstrated a commitment to advancing the missions of nonprofit organizations through innovative fundraising strategies and advocacy.
To date, Jeffreys has raised more than $76 million for local nonprofits, including Oklahoma Contemporary, Canterbury Voices, Oklahoma City University, Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Oklahoma City, SSM Health St. Anthony Foundation and the Blessed Stanley Rother Shrine.
“I am deeply honored to be nominated again for this award,” said Jeffreys. “Fundraising is about building meaningful relationships and creating lasting change. I am grateful for the incredible donors, corporations and colleagues who make this work so rewarding.”
The National Philanthropy Day event will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 13 at the Oklahoma City Zoo, where award recipients will be recognized. This annual celebration honors individuals and organizations making a significant impact through philanthropy. The awards include: Outstanding Fundraising Professional, Oklahoma City; Outstanding Fundraising Professional, outside Oklahoma City; Outstanding new professional or “Rookie of the Year.”
