The Society of St. Vincent de Paul is a group of lay Catholic volunteers from all walks of life. Inspired by Gospel values, they work to assist those in need through loving and compassionate person-to-person service in neighborhoods and communities.
In the Archdiocese of Oklahoma City, the Society of St. Vincent de Paul continues to help those affected by disasters throughout Oklahoma. The Archdiocesan Council of Oklahoma City recognized the need to develop a disaster fund to continue to assist neighbors in need in Oklahoma. The society recently aided Oklahomans in the Guthrie, Little Axe, Shawnee and Weatherford areas who were devastated by wildfires, high winds, flooding and tornados.
The society asks people to, “Help Us Help Others,” through a donation to the Society of St. Vincent de Paul Archdiocesan Council of Oklahoma City Disaster Fund. Donations can be made online at SVDPOKC.org or by check payable to the Archdiocesan Council of OKC Disaster Fund: ADCOKC-SVDP, PO Box 694, Nicoma Park, OK 73066.
