Spring Fling event

Catholic women of the archdiocese are invited to the Spring Fling event for the Central Region Council of Catholic Women at 9:30 a.m. on May 3, at St. John Nepomuk Catholic Church, 600 Garth Brooks Blvd., in Yukon. Registration and refreshments at 9 a.m.

The featured speaker is Sister Lucy Marie Fitzmorris, with Saint Joseph Monastery of Tulsa.  Sister Lucy Marie was born and raised in Yukon with Saint John Nepomuk being her home parish. She is a graduate of Mount St. Mary Catholic High School and the University of Oklahoma. She entered the Benedictine community in 2018 and made her profession of perpetual vows in 2024.  

Essay winners from Catholic schools will also share their winning compositions. A silent auction will be held to raise scholarship funds. Donations of “gently used treasures” are welcome.
