OKLAHOMA CITY – The Blessed Stanley Rother Shrine is preparing for TASTE 2025, a celebration of the rich flavors of Mexican heritage.
An exclusive event, set for 6 p.m. on Sept. 18 at the shrine (700 S.E. 89 St., Oklahoma City), it offers a night filled with delicious food, vibrant performances and a special prize for one special winner. TASTE is open to those 21 and over.
Christi Jeffreys, director of development of the shrine, shared her excitement about the upcoming event: "TASTE 2025 is an incredible opportunity to celebrate the vibrant cultural heritage of our community while supporting the Blessed Stanley Rother Shrine,” said Christi Jeffreys, director of development for the shrine.”
The evening will feature al pastor meats, marinated with chilies and garlic, served with fresh tortillas and an array of side items. Drinks will include mezcal, margaritas and Mexican beers. Entertainment will be provided by the vibrant performances of the Norahua Mexican Folkloric Dancers, set against the backdrop of the shrine.
Every ticket purchase earns an entry into a special drawing for a chance to win a Moto Compacto Honda, a small moto cycle that can fold up and fit in the trunk of a car. Must be present to win.
