SAN ANTONIO – Pilgrim Center of Hope announced the historic return of its Marian Conference on July 24-25 at the Boeing Center at Tech Port in San Antonio, marking the USA’s 250th anniversary under the patronage of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
Mother of Hope Marian Conference, an event centered around Jesus Christ through interest in the Blessed Virgin Mary, will feature nationally known speakers, including: the chaplain of the only Church-approved Marian apparition site in the United States, Our Lady of Champion; as well as Franciscan Friar of the Renewal Father Jeremiah Myriam Shryock, whose books include “Mary and the Interior Life,” who is slated to present on “Becoming Another Mary for Jesus” and "The Rosary: A Spiritual Masterpiece”; and others.
San Antonio archbishop Most Rev. Gustavo García-Siller, M.Sp.S. (Missionary of the Holy Spirit), will preside at Saturday morning Mass. Opportunities to receive the healing sacrament of reconciliation and participate in a Eucharistic adoration service will also be available.
San Antonio was formerly the home of Marian Conferences that attracted thousands from various faiths, organized in the 1990s by the Marian Center of San Antonio and Pilgrim Center of Hope, a Catholic nonprofit. The conferences ended after the Jubilee Year 2000 introduced new ministry opportunities for the organizing committee.
However, according to co-director Mary Jane Fox, upon noticing increased interest in Pilgrim Center of Hope’s media content about the Blessed Virgin Mary over the last several years, the organization decided during the 2025 Jubilee (themed by Pope Francis, "Pilgrims of Hope") to revive the Marian Conference under the title "Mother of Hope" beginning in 2026.
