The devotion of the Sacred Heart of Jesus is a traditional family devotion that is open to all family structures, traditional, single-parent families and multi-generational families, to name a few. This devotion has been promoted by many saints throughout the history of the Church.
McLOUD – About 30 miles east of Oklahoma City in a town of about 5,000 people is Saint Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. This mission church, established in 1904, has been a spiritual home to generations of families.
ARDMORE – Following Archbishop Coakley’s Episcopal motto, “Put out into the deep,” more than 500 people from as far away as Colorado and Tennessee came to Saint Mary Catholic Church in Ardmore in September to participate in a weekend with staff from the Honduran Consulate General in Dallas.
Saint Francis de Sales Seminary was the brainchild of Bishop Eugene McGuinness. As part of his vision of growth during the post-World War II boom, he saw the necessity to construct a seminary to ensure future priests for the Diocese of Oklahoma City and Tulsa.
