This month, our nation celebrates 250 years since the adoption of the Declaration of Independence: a milestone anniversary for a nation forged in the fires of revolution and tested in its resolve to uphold the promise of freedom and opportunity.

The Bl. Stanley Rother Shrine will host feast day celebrations from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on July 11 and July 18 at 700 S.E. 89 St. in Oklahoma City. The family day of service events on July 11 include a food drive, scavenger hunt, photobooth, tours and a traveling rosary. The little Bl. The St. Gregory's College Class of 1987 reunion weekend is June 11-13, 2027, at St. Gregory's Abbey, 1900 W. MacArthur St., in Shawnee. The Abbey is looking forward to welcoming alumni from the classes of 1986, 1987 and 1988 to celebrate early friendships, relive old memories and create new ones. Whether it has been a few years or a few decades since people have connected with classmates, this reunion will be an opportunity to rekindle friendships and remember what made St. Gregory's such a remarkable place. Dominican friar Gregory Dunn, a pilgrim visiting the Blessed Stanley Rother Shrine, discovered something spiritual and encouraging in his visit to south Oklahoma City.

As Martin Parizek sat to the side of the sanctuary watching his ordination to the diaconate unfold before family, friends, priests, deacons, fellow seminarians and the faithful of the Archdiocese of Oklahoma City, he couldn’t stop smiling. By the time he was presented as a candidate for ordination his face hurt.

Patrick Raglow, executive director of Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Oklahoma City, has announced his retirement after more than 14 years of leadership and service to the ministry.

For the past 15 years, Jennifer Nguyen has served in several positions in the religious education program at The Cathedral of Our Lady of Perpetual Help, most notably preparing second-graders to make their First Communion.

Teresita Carreón recalls the moment 13 years ago when “our daughter disappeared.” It was the Mass for the Solemnity of the Blessed Virgin Mary at Historic Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Oklahoma City. One moment the young girl, Lucero, was there. The next ... “We saw her enter in the procession,” Carreón said, “dressed as an altar server.”
