(OSV News) – As the one-year anniversary of Pope Leo XIV's election to the papacy approaches, here is a selection of 12 quotes from the new pontiff on various topics, looking back over the 12 months since he became pope May 8, 2025.

The final quarter of the school year is notorious for being busy with Olympics Week, prom, ACT and SAT opportunities, AP tests, reviews for said AP tests, and finals all happening within the span of two months. Not to mention Oklahoma’s infamous unpredictable, severe weather causing further disruptions.

We monks at Saint Gregory’s Abbey listened to this book during our evening meal. The book tells the story of the Vaux sisters who hid Catholic priests in England during the rule of the Tudors and the Stuarts.
